Lisbon to Host the 6th Edition of IEEE Portugal Local Board Meeting
The IEEE Portugal Section is proud to announce that the 6th Edition of the Local Board Meeting will take place in the nation’s capital from March 6 to March 8, 2026.
This flagship national event serves as a cornerstone for the local engineering community, bringing together the leadership of IEEE Student Branches from universities across the country.
Fostering the Next Generation of Engineering Leaders
LBM 2026 will be a hub for collaboration, leadership development, and high-level knowledge sharing. By gathering representatives and members from diverse Student Branches, the event aims to strengthen the network between future engineers and the broader professional community.
The 2026 edition is hosted by the IEEE IST Student Branch (Instituto Superior Técnico), in close collaboration with IEEE Portugal’s Student Activity Committee. This partnership underscores the Section’s commitment to empowering student volunteers and ensuring a strong pipeline of talent within the Portuguese engineering ecosystem.

- Networking: A unique opportunity for Student Branch officers
to connect, share best practices, and develop inter-university initiatives. - Leadership: Workshops and sessions focused on soft skills,
