The first IEEE Portugal Training Session of 2024 offered an enlightening experience for our members, especially to our student members, providing them with essential knowledge and skills applicable not only in academia but also in various professional spheres.

Held on March 8th and conducted online, WordPress Building Websites Training Session was organized by the Instituto Superior Técnico Student Chapter of IEEE Computer Society. It centered on enhancing the knowledge of attendees in maintaining and enhancing websites such as the ones owned by each IEEE Portugal Student Branch.

The training session was presented by Diogo Pereira, the IEEE Portugal Information Management Coordinator, and former IEEE Portugal Webmaster. Drawing from his experience, Diogo demonstrated crucial techniques, from navigating the WordPress dashboard to customizing themes, building a webpage, and managing plugins. Attendees learned practical insights into crafting dynamic and visually captivating websites, leveraging Diogo’s expertise gained through his involvement in developing the IEEE Portugal website alongside Jorge Pinto, as well as the IEEE MELECON 2024 website.
