Each year, the IEEE Portugal Section awards the most valuable IEEE Portugal members. The awards measure and acknowledge the impact of its members during the previous year. This year, awarded member are:

• Outstanding Chapter Section Award: Instrumentation & Measurement in recognition of the exemplary performance as an IEEE Chapter.
• Outstanding Activity Award: Catarina Reis in appreciation of your extraordinary dedication and leadership in organizing IEEE Engineering Day 2021.
• Special Recognition Award: Catarina Silva in recognition of the exemplary performance as a Member of the IEEE Portugal Section Executive Committee from 2016 to 2021.
• Special Recognition Award: Pedro Simeão Carvalho in recognition of the exemplary performance as a Member of the IEEE Portugal Section Executive Committee from 2016 to 2021.
• Special Recognition Award: Miguel Ferreira in recognition of the exemplary performance as Secretary of the IEEE Portugal Section from 2020 to 2021.
• Outstanding Student Branch Award: Universidade do Porto in recognition of the exemplary performance as an IEEE Student Branch.
• Rising Start Organizational Unit: Student Branch da Universidade de Coimbra in recognition of the exemplary performance as an IEEE Student Branch.
• Best IEEE Volunteer Section Award: João Carlos Ferreira in recognition of the exemplary performance as an IEEE Member.
• Outstanding WIE Member Award: Maria Pires in recognition of the exemplary performance on the Women in Engineering IST Affinity Group.
• Outstanding YP Member Award: Igor Matias in recognition of the exemplary performance as Professional and Educational Activities Coordinator.
• Outstanding Student Member Award: José Miguel Simões in recognition of the exemplary performance as Student Section Representative.
